Dr. Mildred Delores (Dee) Bennett announced that she would not be running as an independent candidate for North Little Rock, Arkansas, mayor but might seek the position of alderman for the proposed Ward 5. Dr. Bennett had a doctorate in psychology and was a counselor with the Pulaski County School District. She was also state director of People United to Serve Humanity.
